REVIEW: PERENCAH SUP DAGING & TULANG ADABI

Each of us deals with CMCO differently. To me, cooking is an escape from the confine of the four walls of my house. The flavours of the food can take me to a far far away place. Reminds me of the places I have been and the food I have tasted.

Yesterday I prepared Sup Tulang for lunch. It somehow reminds me of the Malay hawker stalls around Kuala Lumpur. Of course I added more veggies because I can't live without them. I used Adabi Beef & Ribs Soup Paste for the soup.

I bought these Offal Shoulder Bones from Hero Market.

Boil the beef in water till cooked. Take out the beef and keep 1 liter of the beef broth in the pot. My pot has some level markings, so this made it easier.

Put in the beef, veggies and a pack of the soup paste and boil it till the veggies are cooked and soften to your liking.

Yay! It's done!

Garnish with coriander and fried onion.

Verdict: The soup is rather mild and lack punchiness of the spices usually found in Sup Tulang. Perhaps I put in too much veggies? I don't know. It was ok, not great. Will I buy it again? Probably not but I will try Adabi sup bunjut instead. Stay tuned.
