REVIEW: MYGROSER READY-TO-COOK RAMADAN MEAL KIT - AYAM PERCIK

One of my favourite Malay dishes from Pasar Ramadan is Ayam Percik. But I didn't get to buy it from Pasar Ramadan last year because of MCO. This year, I am cooking my own Ayam Percik, thanks to MYGROSER's Ready-to-Cook Meal Kit. It is one of the many meal kits offered by MYGROSER, specially curated for the fasting month.

REVIEW: AYA REAL FOOD'S SHIROI PONZU

What is Shiroi Ponzu? It is a Japanese citrus based sauce. Rich in seaweed and finished with yuzu, this sauce is given a buttery, garlicky twist for even more umami. It can be used for adding some zing to your salads, as a dipping sauce, or serve with shabu-shabu.

REVIEW: AYA REAL FOOD'S STRIPLOIN STEAK, CARE PACK & MORE

Thank you to the generous people at Aya Real Food for sending me the recently launched new product - The Striploin and Potato Medley  and the AYA CarePack.

AIRFRYER: QUICK & EASY KOREAN CREAM CHEESE GARLIC BREAD

Smooth sweet cream cheese filling and fragrant garlic butter crust..... A lethal combination for your diet. Heheh! This Korean cream cheese went viral not too long ago and I thought, why not make it at home during this CMCO period.  I opted for a quick and easy recipe from the internet which I modified using ready made charcoal buns and the readily available ingredients in my pantry. Here are the ingredients... Ingredients 4 buns 100g cream cheese (room temperature) 1 tablespoon condensed milk/ creamer 50g butter (melted) 3 clove of garlic (minced) 1 egg Dried spring onion flakes (The original recipe calls for parsley and basil flakes, but just use whatever herbs you have in the your kitchen)  Mix cream cheese with condensed milk. You can add more condensed milk if you like it sweeter.  I used a garlic mincer. Alternatively, you can chop the garlic as finely as possible. Mix the garlic into the melted butter, add in the herb flakes and then the egg (pre beaten)....

AIRFRYER: MIXED BERRIES MUFFINS

I have two bags of frozen berries which were given to me by my sister during the start of MCO. They have been sitting in the freezer for more than four months now. Today, I decided to bake some muffins with them.

AIRFRYER: CARROT MUFFINS

Carrot muffins are essentially carrot cake in a cup! After a successful batch of banana muffins, I decided to try my hands on baking these beta carotene-rich muffins...

AIRFRYER: I MADE MY OWN CROUTONS FOR CAESAR SALAD

I enjoy the simplicity of a Caesar salad - a green salad of romaine lettuce and croutons dressed white garlicky dressing. Today, I attempted to bake some croutons using my airfryer.

AIRFRYER: SALTED EGG TOFU/ TAUHU TELUR MASIN

I always enjoyed anything with salted egg. Rich, savoury and highly addictive! So, when I searched for air fryer salted egg recipe on YouTube. I found a simple recipe by Spice N Pans. Instead of making my own tofu, I bought a tube of ready-made from the supermart. Check it out! Original Spice N Pans recipe here.

AIRFRYER: PORTUGUESE GRILLED SQUID/ SOTONG BAKAR ALA-PORTUGIS

Just because you can’t travel doesn’t mean you can’t explore the vibrant flavours of the world’s cuisine. Had a craving for the Portuguese grill dish. So, I thought, why not make it myself? Viola! Portuguese grill (air-fried) squid for dinner without having to go to the Portuguese Settlement in Melaka!

AIRFRYER: MARTABAK MAGGI SIMPLE

It's Martabak, guys. Not murtabak. I have checked with Dewan Bahasa & Pustaka. Heheh!

PRODUCT REVIEW: 6" AIRFRYER ACCESSORIES

I got everything above for under RM50, inclusive of shipping! Good deal? I hope so. After using my Philips Airfryer extensively for 2 months during the MCO, I think I am ready to explore more airfryer recipes. Hence, I ordered these accessories from Shopee.  Let's check them out...

AIRFRYER: EGG TOFU MUFFIN CUPS

I got this idea to make these muffin cups from an original recipe of Japanese Tofu Omelette shared in the Masak-masak with Philips Airfryer FB Group . Some who had tried the original recipe said they found the egg was not evenly cooked.  So, I said to myself, why not try them in the smaller individual size muffin cups? Furthermore, I managed to buy the IKEA Sockerkaka Cupcake Silicone Moulds just this morning. It was sold out before Raya.  The muffin cups turned out fantastic! I will explore by putting in different fillings next time. I think this is an awesome and healthier egg dish for breakfast, say versus the oil-fried egg.  Here's my recipe: AIRFRYER: EGG TOFU MUFFIN CUPS (4 muffin cups) Ingredients: 2 Eggs Half a tube of Japanese Egg Tofu Onion (diced) Spring Onion (chopped) Red chilli (sliced) Seasonings – Fish sauce and pepper powder Few drops of oil (Use sesame oil for aroma) Method: Beat egg with added f...

PRODUCT REVIEW: DELIWEST FROZEN MARINATED CHICKEN AND CREAM OF FOREST MUSHROOM SOUP

This is not a sponsored post. My sister bought me these frozen packs. Maybe she worries that I eat too much instant noodle during the MCO. LOL!

AIR-FRYER: KEROPOK LEKOR

How to fry Keropok Lekor using an Air Fryer: 1) Brush some oil evenly onto the keropok. You can use any cooking oil. I use coconut cooking oil. You can do without the oil, but your keropok will turn out a bit dry and dull-looking. If you apply some oil, it will help seal in the moisture and gives that "deep-fry" appearance to the keropok.  2) Air-fry at 180 deg C for 10 mins, check if cooked and increase the cooking time as needed. 3) Enjoy! Tambah masa memasak jika perlu. 3) Jom makan!
