PRODUCT REVIEW: DELIWEST FROZEN MARINATED CHICKEN AND CREAM OF FOREST MUSHROOM SOUP

This is not a sponsored post. My sister bought me these frozen packs. Maybe she worries that I eat too much instant noodle during the MCO. LOL!

1. DeliWest Cajun Chicken
2. DeliWest Rosemary Chicken
3. DeliWest Cream of Forest Mushroom

Straight out of the vacuum pack after thawing - Rosemary Chicken (Left) and Cajun Chicken.

Each poultry pack weighs about 200g - that's a fresh chicken whole leg, marinated with spices and salt. Vacuum packed.

Cooking instructions on the pack:
Step 1: Defrost package
Step 2: Heat pan on low heat
Step 3: Add content (skin side down) and pan-fry for 10 minutes on each side
Step 4: Serve
*Alternatively, you can grill in oven/oven toaster (skin side up) for 20 minutes on 250°C

Cajun Chicken leg is ready to be air-fried

Of course, I used my air fryer to do the job - 180°C for a total of 10+10 minutes (10 mins, flip and add 10 more). Note: Do not add additional oil to the chicken.

Rosemary Chicken cooks in its own juicy oil. Smells so good!

Cajun Chicken

Rosemary Chicken

Verdict: Easy, convenient and delicious meal in about 20 minutes (excluding thawing time). The cajun spice really adds flavours to the chicken while the rosemary chicken taste is perfectly balanced. Would I buy it again? A definite yes!

Deli West Cream of Forest Mushroom

Ona pack weighs around 300g. Ingredients include Fresh Assorted Mushroom, Butter, Flour, Chicken Stock, Cream, Salt & Pepper.

Cooking instructions on the pack:
Step 1: Defrost package and put contents into a pot
Step 2: Heat pot on medium heat
Step 3: Whisk content in the pot until it boils and have a smooth texture
Step 4: Serve

Whisking the content in the pot until it boils

Yummy creamy mushroom soup

Verdict: Two thumbs up for this. A velvety soup without being too heavy that completes the meal. I have a couple more in the freezer waiting to be devoured. Yum! Yum!

Overall, I'm quite impressed with DeliWest after trying their products for the first time. Would love to try their other ranges too.

AIR-FRYER: KEROPOK LEKOR

How to fry Keropok Lekor using an Air Fryer: 1) Brush some oil evenly onto the keropok. You can use any cooking oil. I use coconut cooking oil. You can do without the oil, but your keropok will turn out a bit dry and dull-looking. If you apply some oil, it will help seal in the moisture and gives that "deep-fry" appearance to the keropok.  2) Air-fry at 180 deg C for 10 mins, check if cooked and increase the cooking time as needed. 3) Enjoy! Tambah masa memasak jika perlu. 3) Jom makan!

NASI KARI KAMBING TIN ADABI (CANNED MUTTON CURRY RICE)

This is my second attempt to do this viral spicy aromatic rice. My rice turned out to be too wet in my first try. Thanks to the recipe from my friend, Intan Suraya, I finally got it right!
