MAX MASAK MAKAN

Out of boredom, I took a bus up to Genting Highland Premium Outlet (GPO) from Gombak LRT last Friday. RM3.70 per way. Quite cheap, eh? I'm quite surprised by the number of people on the bus and also in GPO on a Friday morning! Covid or not, we couldn't resist a good bargain. Heheh!

I can believe I'm saying this - I missed roaming in the Daiso store very much, especially during the MCO. So, when the malls are back in business during the RMCO (Recovery Phase), I joined the beeline to my favourite Japan's RM5.90 store to explore the section which I might have ignored in the past - the kitchen products! And boy, did I go crazy...LOL! Check out my haul.... 

I enjoy the simplicity of a Caesar salad - a green salad of romaine lettuce and croutons dressed white garlicky dressing. Today, I attempted to bake some croutons using my airfryer.

I follow more recipes/ cooking guide channels than running ones during MCO. Here are my favourites.

I always enjoyed anything with salted egg. Rich, savoury and highly addictive! So, when I searched for air fryer salted egg recipe on YouTube. I found a simple recipe by Spice N Pans. These came in the mail this morning! What a surprise!

Just because you can’t travel doesn’t mean you can’t explore the vibrant flavours of the world’s cuisine. Had a craving for the Portuguese grill dish. So, I thought, why not make it myself? Viola! Portuguese grill (air-fried) squid for dinner without having to go to the Portuguese Settlement in Melaka!

It's Martabak, guys. Not murtabak. I have checked with Dewan Bahasa & Pustaka. Heheh!

I got everything above for under RM50, inclusive of shipping! Good deal? I hope so. After using my Philips Airfryer extensively for 2 months during the MCO, I think I am ready to explore more airfryer recipes. Hence, I ordered these accessories from Shopee.  Let's check them out...

No open house. No gathering more than 20 people. No balik kampung. COVID-19 has really turned out world upside down. What do you do when you crave for Raya delicacies? Thanks to Hotel Maya Kuala Lumpur – we can still enjoy a Raya feast at home without slogging it in the kitchen or getting arrested for crossing state to go back to the kampung.
